Refund Policy

A refund means that money previously paid for an order or product is returned to the customer. It is different from the physical return of merchandise, although a refund may be processed after an eligible product has been returned and inspected. This policy explains the circumstances in which a refund may be issued, the amount that may be returned, the payment method used for the credit, and situations where only part of an original payment is eligible for reimbursement.

When an order is cancelled by the store before shipment, the customer will generally receive a refund for the cancelled merchandise and for any shipping amount that was paid but will no longer be used. If an order cannot be delivered because the provided address is not within the store’s delivery coverage, or because the address belongs to a freight forwarding service that the store cannot ship to, the affected merchandise may be cancelled and refunded in accordance with the applicable cancellation terms.

Customers who return an eligible product may receive a refund for the amount paid for that product when the return meets the conditions of the store’s return policy. To qualify for a full merchandise refund, the item should generally be unused, returned within the applicable return period, and kept in its original packaging and condition. The store may review the returned product before completing the refund to confirm that the requirements have been met.

Shipping charges are not automatically refundable whenever an item is returned. The original outbound shipping cost may be refunded when the return is necessary because the store made an error or because the merchandise has a qualifying manufacturing defect covered under the applicable warranty terms. In other situations, the original shipping charge generally remains non-refundable, and the customer is responsible for the cost of sending the product back unless the applicable policy states otherwise.

The condition of a returned product can affect the amount of the refund. Products that have been used, damaged, altered, returned without required labels or packaging, or sent back after the permitted return period may not qualify for a full refund. The store may reject a return when the merchandise cannot reasonably be resold in accordance with the applicable return requirements. If the store keeps an item because it cannot be returned to saleable condition, any refund that may be available can be reduced to reflect the condition of the merchandise.

When a partial refund is appropriate, the amount is determined after the returned product has been reviewed. When practical, the customer will be informed of the proposed credit before the refund is finalized. Customers should therefore ensure that returned products are packaged appropriately and meet the stated return requirements to avoid unnecessary deductions or delays.

Approved refunds are normally sent back to the same payment method used for the original purchase. Returning funds to the original payment method helps maintain a clear connection between the refund and the corresponding transaction. The store does not normally redirect a refund to a different card or account simply because another method is more convenient. If the original payment method is no longer capable of receiving the funds, the store may work with the customer to determine another appropriate refund method.

The time required for a refund to appear in a bank or card account is controlled largely by the payment provider and financial institution. Once the store has processed the refund, the transaction may still take several business days to appear on the customer’s statement. The date the store issues a refund and the date the customer can see the credit are therefore not necessarily the same. If a reasonable amount of time has passed and the refund remains unavailable, customers may contact owalalife@gmail.com with the order number so the store can confirm when the refund was submitted.

An authorization or temporary payment hold is not the same as a captured payment. If a payment authorization expires or is released before funds are actually captured, there is no collected amount for the store to refund. In such circumstances, a pending amount shown by a bank may need to be released by the financial institution according to its own procedures. The store can confirm that the order or payment was cancelled from its side, but the timing of the bank’s release of the hold is outside the store’s control.

When only one product from a larger order is returned and approved, the refund generally applies only to that returned product rather than the entire order. Any applicable tax associated with the refunded item may also be included when the tax can be reversed through the checkout or payment system. A shipping charge that covered several products is not automatically refunded when only one item is returned and will be handled according to the circumstances described in this policy.

Customers who would prefer an exchange or replacement rather than a monetary refund may mention this when contacting the store about the return. A replacement may be possible when the same product or the requested variation remains available in inventory. Replacement availability is not guaranteed for every item, color, size, or configuration. If the requested replacement cannot be supplied, the eligible transaction will instead be handled through the applicable refund process.

Discounts and promotional pricing are considered when determining the amount returned. If a discount applied specifically to an item that is later returned, the refund generally reflects the actual amount paid for that item after the applicable discount rather than the original undiscounted price. The order confirmation email provides a useful record of the prices, discounts, and other amounts that applied when the purchase was completed.

Promotional offers involving free gifts or minimum purchase thresholds may also be affected by a return. If returning one or more products causes the remaining order value to fall below the minimum required to receive a promotional benefit, the store may cancel the free gift benefit or adjust the amount credited to account for the promotion’s original conditions. The treatment of such promotions depends on the terms associated with the offer and the information recorded on the original order.

A refund does not automatically mean that a product return has been accepted, and sending merchandise back does not by itself guarantee that the full purchase amount will be credited. The store must first determine whether the return meets the applicable requirements. Customers should retain the order confirmation, return information, and shipping records until the return and refund have been fully resolved.

For questions about a pending refund, customers should contact owalalife@gmail.com and provide the relevant order number. Including the order number and details about the returned product allows the store to locate the transaction more efficiently. Refunds will be handled according to the circumstances of the order, the condition of the merchandise, the applicable return requirements, and the payment method originally used.
